The Peckham Village game:

Our squad is starting to take shape, & it's good to see a number of our very fringe players being ready to turn out and have a bit of fun, in the spirit this match is intended.
The kick off has now been set as twelve noon, on Saturday 7th July, on the all weather pitch, at Dulwich College.
It is a complete step into the unknown as we've never had a game against a womens' team. One thing for sure: they shouldn't be under-estimated, as they have played & trained together all season, & whilst it is both unfair & implausible to compare womens football to mens, whilst strength might not be generally be perceived as a plus point in the female game, this is more than made up by the technical ability & passing skills to compensate.
It will be an intriging encounter to say the least, with the 'pressure' on us to win.
Personally I don't think it's going to be as easy as some might suggest, and to those who aren't going to bother just because "I'm not playing against a girls side.."...well shame on you!
I know all the women from Peckham Village are looking forward to it, so should we!
Our squad at the moment is:
Steve Rickerby
Roger Deason
Mark Hutton
Chris Tabrett
Phil Doyle
Matt Hammond
Danny King
Mishi Morath
Paul Griffin
Lawrence Marsh
Tony Mullins
& (provisionally)
Robbie McLintock
Nicolas Lucas

Come on chaps: if you're not on this list yet then email Andy (Andrew.Tucker@justice.gsi.gov.uk )
and put your name forward!
